Index

Looking at the list of archives on the right hand side, I realised I’ve amassed quite a lot of information on Australian diving, caves and otherwise. However, it’s a bit spread out and hard to find. After some work cleaning up my tagging I present to you this index which I hope will be helpful for looking up specific caves or dive destinations.

Cave destinations

Mt Gambier – caves, sinkholes, the whole lot.

Tank Cave – the crown jewel of the Mt Gambier caves, I’ve taken more than a few photos in here

Elk River – monthly updates on our ongoing exploration project in eastern Victoria

Nullarbor Plains – several trips out here, including dives in Weebubbie, Warbla, Tommy Grahams and Murra-el-elevyn

Roe Plains – several trips including Olwolgin Cave (and the bit initially called Unnamed Cave) and Burnabbie Cave

Mt Hypipamee Crater, QLD – exploration trip in August 2011

Camooweal Caves, QLD – exploration trip in August 2012

NSW caves – McCavity and Jenolan diving in 2012 & 2014

The history of Cocklebiddy exploration – a series of posts of Dad’s photos from the early 80’s trips

Sistema Huautla – exploration in the Western Hemisphere’s deepest dry cave on the PESH 2015 expedition

The Lot – diving the underwater caves of France with lots of good cheese in the surface intervals

Rebreather diving

Dives on the rEvo – currently most of them, and also includes reviews of my MOD1, MOD2 and MOD3 courses.

Dry caving

Usually damp, and often carrying dive gear but not necessarily using it – see here.

Tropical destinations

Local Melbourne diving

Pier diving – Piers around Port Phillip and Westernport Bays, including Rye, Mornington, Flinders, Blairgowrie and St Leonards

Lonsdale Wall – This spectacular drop-off between the Port Phillip Bay heads is my favourite dive in good vis.
